On 1st-4th Sundays of each month, Centerville offers a nursery for newborns through age 2 during worship.  All other children, 3 years- 5th grade, remain in the sanctuary (with parents or with volunteers in our special children’s section) until Kevin’s children’s blessing (usually right before the sermon). Then, children are invited to follow volunteers to one of the following children’s church experiences. Children are always welcome to stay in the sanctuary with parents or guardians.

We engage a variety of ministry, community-building, and discipleship activities during children’s church and during other special events. One learning activity is interacting using role-playing scenarios to start forming lifelong friendships. Some previous projects include making cards for shut-ins and Centerville staff and making bracelets to be handed out at the Eastern Shore mission trip.

Fifth Sunday Celebration

Whenever a month has a fifth Sunday, all children above nursery age remain in the sanctuary for a worship service specifically geared to all ages.
